Thermoplastic Playground Markings

Thermoplastic playground markings are a fantastic way of transforming children’s play areas. 

When it comes to a child’s creativity and imagination then the sky is the limit. All Children need is the right surroundings to develop their skills and so playgrounds should be an extension of the classroom.

A wide range of designs are available from Alphabet letters A-Z, to sport markings to road track markings, in fact any type of playground marking is possible. The aim of playground markings is to stimulate children; the thermoplastic markings come in bright, eye grabbing, vibrant colours which children love, they give children the space to play whilst learning.

Thermoplastic markings can help children with numeracy and literacy, science, geography, fitness and dexterity. Nursery's can also be great places for thermoplastic markings as very young children are attracted to bright colours and are stimulated by shapes.

The Thermoplastic material is made up of plastic and glass; it is heated until molten and then applied to the surface. This type of material is non-toxic and it complies with BSEN1436 standard.

The thermoplastic image once applied cools down pretty quickly (10 – 15 minutes) and the activity markings are then ready for use. This means that such markings can be installed whilst children are at school and are probably ready for use on their next playtime or lunch break.

Thermoplastic material does not fade quickly, once installed your markings should look colourful for many years to come unlike other paints which become faded and unsightly after a short period of use. Old tired markings can however be revitalised.

Please be aware that Thermoplastic playground markings cannot be installed on wet days as they will not adhere to wet surfaces.
